Very interesting but I will explain my misadventure with Sony creative style...I only shoot raw photos and to " recover" my b&w way of seeing things I thought to use the B&W creative style which means my screen is displaying the scene in b&w b ( helping me to frame accurately) ...the photos being recorded in raw leaves me the option to recover my colors if needed. Alas yesterday I shoot b&w for the music festival and decided to add some video ...The b&w profile has been applied on my footage and I believe there is no way to get back the colors !

Wow... man, I'm awed. I wish I'd seen this tutorial right when you released it, it would have saved me so much time when editing, among else, the polar light photos I took during a trip with Hurtigruten's MS Polarlys last March... On some photos, a big part of the snowy mountains got selected as well as the sky. Which I then subtracted from the mask using a brush. The technique you describe works so much better... while not still 100 % accurate, but hey, who cares... Thanks for this tutorial!! I definitely am a new subscriber. (That still prefers Lightroom Classic over Lightroom - old habits die hard).

took me exactly 2 hours to test drive Adobe Photoshop and the Gen Ai feature to discover they are garbage. First, it is great with objects but horrible with human subjects compared to Stable Diffusion. Also, Adobe is way too uptight with its 'guidelines'. I tried to generate an image of a woman on a beach in a bikini and it triggered the Adobe AI police. And I used an image of a woman in a bikini to remove the background and create a new background and again no dice. But really the AI quality is not even better than DALL*E 3 I would recommend steering clear of Firefly and PS.

Hi Brian. Great video! My current workflow is to use Bridge to cull images...then to camera raw for any edits, then to Photoshop. I decided to try Lightroom cloud ( I don't like Lightroom Classic) so as to reduce the workflow to just two...Lightroom then Photoshop. I quite liked Lightroom cloud as it has the local feature for editing and the ability to upload to the cloud. However, I find that despite the extra step I much prefer bridge and Camera raw for the following reasons: 1. I like how thumbnails in Bridge have the date of capture etc and star rating underneath the thumbnails, as opposed to having to look to the right side of the screen in Lightroom. 2. I'm able to use my mouse scroll wheel to zoom in smoothly to any magnification in Camera Raw...can't seem to do that in Lightroom...it goes to and from 100% with no scroll wheel facility. 3. I love how my star rated images are shown in groups on the left side in bridge, which makes it easy to save or delete groups...much more complicated in Lightroom (sort by star rating, then selecting images etc). Thoughts?

Every cut out demo uses a picture with a plain background. I'll be more impressed when it can cut out a picture of a person with wild hair standing in front of a wintry tree in front of a brick wall on a high street. Keynote and Powerpoint can make almost as good a job with their make alpha tools.

This idea of starting to charge to use an individual feature in a product I'm ALREADY paying a subscription price to use is VERY BAD. Spin it as hard as you like, but this is a very disappointing direction for Adobe to go. They already took away my ability to just buy a product, now forcing me to pay month in and month out. I should have known it wouldn't stop there.

Still convinced that Adobe's long term goal is to eliminate the need to "install" anything on the computer - makes it so much more easy to control - no need to accommodate operating systems or weird computer configurations or restrictions in Windows or Apple. The only drawback is the need to be connected - but that is becoming less and less of a challenge no matter where you are.

Without a doubt, the best tutorial instructor I have come across for Lightroom. Thank you very much each and every time I tune you in I learned about some hidden secret, but I didn’t that I was not aware of. Thank you for your timely research and efforts to reach us allwith your deep knowledge of this application😊

Hi, Is it a good way to rename all the imported pictures to lightroom classic or leave the pictures name as is. Thank you.
